"Can" Hunger Scavenger Hunt
A BIG THANK YOU to all the youth who helped stop hunger last Sunday night with the “Can “ Hunger Scavenger Hunt. We had 7 teams of 4-5 youth who went door-to-door in different neighborhoods asking for food donations for Greensboro Urban Ministry and the Backpack Project. THANK YOU to Lyndal Butler and Jason McCord for dropping off the food at GUM...we donated a total of 755 pounds of cans and other foods. We also filled a large box with mac n cheese and canned meats for the Backpack Project (providing children at Peeler Elementary with a weekend’s worth of groceries in a backpack each week.) Also, THANK YOU to all the parents who came to the parent meeting!!!!
