We concluded You Are What You Love with a surprising twist: we may not love what we think we love. We learned from Jesus’ interaction with the Rich Young Ruler in Mark [10:17]-27 that we may sincerely believe we want to follow Jesus faithfully, yet when we are asked to give something up, we discover that some things are more valuable to us than Jesus.

The love in our heads does not matter until it moves into our hands and our hearts.
