We concluded our series on the 23rd Psalm on this Sunday by looking at Holy Communion in relation to the Psalmist’s promise about “a table in the presence of my enemies.” On the night before he was crucified, Jesus gave sat at a table with his enemies (who were also his disciples) and celebrated the Lord’s Supper. Today, Jesus still sets a table for us, even though we forget, hurt, and betray him. That’s grace!

At the cross we were reconciled. At the table we are renewed.
