We continued our series on Psalm 23 this Sunday, focusing on “the valley of the shadow of death” in 23:4. Many people, religious and not religious, wonder about where God is in the midst of suffering, tragedy, and loss. This is a natural question, and one we see people wrestle with in the Bible, too. We explored these questions today, and celebrated that while we do not get every question answered, we are promised the presence of a loving God in the midst of every valley.

Good people suffer; God’s people do not suffer alone.
