We continued our Bullseye series by looking at the purpose of disciples (to follow Jesus) and the purpose of the church (to make disciples).  Following the work of Simon Sinek, we talked about the importance of having a “why,” and saw that our “why” doesn’t have to be discovered, because Jesus gave it to us in The Great Commission at the end of Matthew 28. We also had the opportunity to remember our baptism, which is a traditional practice on Baptism of the Lord Sunday.

Disciples are made, not born.

P.S. Here is a link to a great TED Talk by Simon Sinek on his book Start With Why.
